Hi Ayrin,

My son had similiar issues and I felt so alone cuz this was like 20 yrs ago and not alot of people were talking about autism or adhd or bi polar. He was also very out of control and I felt completely drained as a single mom and I did not know where to turn. You said you were on a waiting list is that with the regional center because that has been the best support system and they help with resources and

getting other services he may need like behavior analysis. Keep pushing and find as much info from the internet and programs that might help your son the younger he starts getting the help he needs the better adjusted he will be. My son was pretty crazy back in the day and it was very hard. But just support him the best way you can with love and acceptance which I am sure you are already doing you sound like your a great mom. The best advice I can give is don't forget to love and take care of yourself in the mean time. I spent so much time trying to help my son that I forgot all about myself and I really did not enjoy a big part of my life. I was so stressed out all the time and they can feel that. Even though I did not do everything right with him and probably did not get him all the services he needed cuz you would have to be a genious to figure out everything people don't always tell you services you could have had because often they do not want to pay for it. But, things have a way of working out and he is doing better than I thought he ever would. Have faith things will work out for you also its just a large valley you have to cross but when you get to the other side it will be better and I found that we all have a cross to bear whether its death of a child or cancer I think its Gods way of bringing us closer to him because you can't do it alone and life is just a short time then everything will be perfect in heaven. Take care I hope this was somewhat helpful write back if you would like.
